Students from University of Seoul fulfilled internship at VIUP

According to cooperation program signed between VIUP and University of Seoul, 6 students from International School of Urban Sciences, University of Seoul, Korea, at postgraduate and undergraduate level, have completed their internship program at VIUP from July 11 to 15, 2016.

During the internship time, they attended 2 scientific seminars to share their experiences with VIUP’s experts on urban planning system in Korea; Planning and implementation of water treatment plant – Hanoi case; Landscape architecture of Lotte World Mall in Korea and Management and treatment of Dong Ngo landfill in Bac Ninh. In addition, they also have been introduced about Vietnam’s urban development and planning as well as legal framework of urban planning in Vietnam. They also spent time to work with VIUP’s architects and planners to learn about the method of carrying out planning projects in Vietnam, exchange directly with VIUP’s experts concerned issues.

 

General views

In Hanoi, they also visited Hanoi ancient quarter, new urban areas, Hanoi urban railway…

On closing ceremony, VIUP’s Deputy director Luu Duc Cuong highly appreciated the Korean team’s internship. The information, knowledge shared on the seminars are useful for VIUP’s experts. He hoped two sides continue promoting this cooperation and exchange research teams in the future. He also informed that VIUP want to invite the leader of University of Seoul as well as the members of internship team to attend the ceremony celebrating 60th anniversary of VIUP’s foundation as scheduled in November.

The representative of the Korean internship team expressed their thanks to VIUP’s leaders and experts for helping and creating comfortable conditions for the team. They are ready to support VIUP in leaning about planning and construction in Korea.

On this occasion, Deputy director Luu Duc Cuong gave the certificates to the Korean students.
