FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

1. To organize exhibitions, displays, introduction on architecture and construction planning projects of the nation

2. To receive delegations from the Party Central Committee, State, Government and localities, foreign visitors, organizations, businessmen and people who wants to visit and learn about Ha Noi capital construction planning and other important construction planning projects as well as models, documentations on Vietnam architecture and world architecture displayed on the exhibition hall.

3. To organize events, exhibitions to propagandize, popularize, provide information on architecture and construction planning, technical infrastructure, urban development, new rural development serving state management and development of construction industry, including:

a. To propagandize, popularize legal documents, regulations, standards in the fields of architecture, construction planning, technical infrastructure, urban development, new rural development

b. To establish database system, provide information, bulletin on architecture, construction planning, technical infrastructure, urban development, new rural development

c. To organize exhibitions, conferences, workshops, project specialized films about the fields under state management functions of Ministry of Construction.

d. To organize activities to improve the capacity, awareness of the subjects participating in construction activities, organizations, businessmen and people and the communities in construction management, urban development, new rural development

đ. To organize displays, introduction on the models, drawings, items, documentations… of Vietnam and world architectural works in forms of exhibitions, conferences…

4. To organize competitions, scientific research, training, cooperation activities in the fields of architecture, construction planning, technical infrastructure, urban development, new rural development.

5. To research, collect, check, maintain, display, propagandize and improve the values of valuable architectural buildings of Vietnam and other countries in the world.

6. To implement consultative activities, services in the fields under MOC’s state management functions and other income-generating services during the process of management, exploitation of National palace for architecture, construction planning exhibition in accordance with the laws and regulations, including:

a. To consult urban design; consult making and implementing regulations on urban architectural and planning management, consult architectural design, urban landscape, planning for new rural development, consult, provide the information and doing business in real estate service

b. To design, decorate, inspect the construction and rent display space, exhibition space as well as design, decorate, inspect the interior and exterior construction of buildings

c. To do business of advertizing, printing services, cultural services, publications, website and souvenirs, soft drink, foods for the visitors to National palace for architecture, construction planning exhibition and the people in accodance with the laws.

7. To organize the management, exploitation, maintenance of National palace for architecture, construction planning exhibition

8. To manage financial sources, facilities, income-generating activities of the exhibition hall according to the law and VIUP’s regulations

9. To manage staffs and ensure policies for the staffs according to the law and VIUP’s regulations

10. To make periodic statistics, reports according to the regulations and requirements of the Minister of Construction and VIUP’s director in accordance with functions and tasks of the unit

11. To do other tasks assigned by the Minister of Construction and VIUP’s director in accordance with functions and tasks of the unit.
