FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

1. To research and apply the technological and scientific research results in measurement and inspection to draw the lessons supporting the research on measurement, equipment inspection, checking material quality, components and buildings.  

2. To consult transferring building technology, cooperate with domestic and foreign units and individuals to exploit application of technology in construction.

3. To consult making investment projects, architectural designs, making estimation for civil, industrial, infrastructural, water sources, traffic and water works

4. To make construction planning projects

5. To survey site, geology of the buildings

6. To inspect investment projects, technical designs, construction, the total estimated budget; To assess the bid documents and balance-sheets for civil, industrial, infrastructural, water sources, traffic and water works

7. To consult technical supervision for construction, inspection of quality of materials, components and upgraded works; To consult management and operation of construction investment projects for civil, industrial, infrastructural, water sources, traffic and water works; To consult making bidding files and assess the results of bidding files

8. To provide design consultant services, make estimation for restored buildings, apply inspected results to restored upgraded buildings.

9. To check and certificate suitability in quality of the buildings; To assess environmental effects to the quality of civil, industrial, infrastructural, water sources, traffic and water works.

10. To define and assess reasons for breakdowns of the buildings to propose methods of repair and strengthening.

11. To sign actively economic contracts in accordance with assigned functions and tasks with the value below 5 billion VND; For the contracts over 5 billion VND, the centre will sign with the authorization of the VIUP’s director.

12. To do other tasks assigned by the VIUP’s director in accordance with functions and tasks of the unit.

13. To make periodic statistics, reports on centre’s activities according to the regulations of the Institute
