FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

To be a focal division in organizing and deploying training activities including:

To train Ph.D. candidates in Architectural theory and history

To organize short-term training courses to improve qualification: To train in situ to enhance capacity of the Institute’s staffs; To organize classes to grant construction certificate: certificate of real estate, certificate of construction supervision; certificate of project management

To carry out cooperation activities of the Institute

To receive foreign delegations, set up the content of cooperation documents, translation

To participate in setting the content and deploying some cooperation projects and programs

Typical projects:

1. Project in cooperation with EC: Training to improve the capacity for urban planning cadres in Vietnam Urban Environmental Planning Programme

2. The Urban Planning Formulation and Management Capacity Development Project

3. Protocol project: “Research high-rise building design aiming at economic and efficient energy use”
